What is the Diamond Plus Visa Prepaid Card?
The Diamond Plus™ Visa prepaid card has many benefits! It is:
A safer alternative than cash with lost/stolen card protection by Visa. (Visa's Zero Liability policy covers U.S.–issued cards only and does not apply to ATM transactions, PIN transactions not processed by Visa, or certain commercial card transactions.) If your card is lost or stolen, please call customer service at 1-855-879-7587 to request a new card. Your card will arrive in 7-10 business days.

How do I enroll for the Diamond Plus Visa Prepaid Card?
It's easy to get a card.
When you file your taxes at participating tax professionals, simply request that your tax refund be loaded on to a Diamond Plus Visa Prepaid Card account. Ask your tax professional to enroll you when you file your taxes with their firm. Enrolling is easy and takes only a few minutes!
You must be/have:
A United States resident
Age 18 or older
The valid government ID that you used to file your U.S. taxes
A verifiable physical street address (No P.O. Boxes are accepted) to which we will mail your card
An email address that we will use to send you important Diamond Plus Visa Prepaid Card account information.
NOTE: Please know that we take your security very seriously. Our system safeguards your information so you can enroll with confidence. We use some of the most trusted security approaches in the industry.

Important information for opening a card account: To help the federal government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, the USA PATRIOT Act requires all financial institutions and their third parties to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens a card account. What this means for you: When you open a card account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your drivers's license or other identifying documents.

Is the Diamond Plus Visa Prepaid Card a credit card?

No. This card is not a credit card.
The Diamond Plus Visa Prepaid Card is a reloadable and reusable prepaid Visa card.
Because it's a prepaid card you can only spend the money you put on your card.
To use your card anywhere Visa debit cards are accepted, you must first add money:
Sign up for our Direct Deposit program, if you are paid by check(s) from your employer or benefits provider such as Social Security, Disability, and others.
Add cash at thousands of Visa ReadyLink partners nationwide.
When you use your Diamond Plus Visa Prepaid Card , the amount of your purchase is deducted from your card account balance.

Can I Get An Additional Card?
If you have filed taxes jointly with your spouse, you can get an additional card for your spouse. After you receive your card, login to your account on www.DiamondPlusCard.com, and click on the link in the “Request Spousal Card” box. An additional card personalized with your spouse’s name on our records will be mailed to your address on file.
NOTE: You can only order the Spousal Card online, for the named individual shown on the website. The spouse shown on the website is the individual with whom you filed a joint tax return.

How Does the Spousal Card Work?
You can use this additional card to share the money on your Diamond Plus Visa Card account with your spouse. Once you have your own card, you can order your Spousal Card on your account on www.DiamondPlusCard.com.
- The Spousal Card will be embossed with your spouse’s name and a unique card number.
- Your card and your spouse’s card jointly share the funds in the card account.
- Daily and monthly card balance, usage amounts and frequency limits are set on an overall account level, meaning that all cards within one account (your card and your spouse’s card together) share the account’s limits.
NOTE: Each time a purchase is made, or cash withdrawn – whether with your card or your spouse’s card, that amount is deducted from your overall card account balance.
NOTE: Joint cardholders are responsible for all transactions and fees incurred by themselves and any additional cardholder on the card account, according to the terms of the Cardholder Agreement.

Activating your card

How do I activate my instant Diamond Plus Visa Prepaid Card?
After you have received your instant card from your tax professional, you will get an email and/or text message notifying you that your card is ready to be activated. It may take up to 4 hours to get this message. Once you get this message, call 1-855-TRY-PLUS (879-7587) or go to www.DiamondPlusCard.com to activate your card and follow the simple instructions.
You can successfully activate your card even if you do not receive this message. However, if you try to activate your card immediately after getting it from your tax professional, you may get an error message since the registration of your personal information on the card may not be completed yet. In this case, please try again later.

Your Tax Refund and the Diamond Plus Visa Prepaid Card

When will my Tax Refund be loaded to my Diamond Plus Visa Prepaid Card?
Your approved tax refund will be loaded to your card account as soon as we receive the funds from the IRS or state tax authority.
You will receive an email as soon as the tax refund is added to your card account if you have provided your email to your tax professional during your tax preparation.
NOTE: After card activation, you will receive an email -if you had provided your email address to your tax professional- once your tax refund is loaded on your card account, or you can check the loads and balance on your card account by logging onto the website or by calling 1-855-TRY-PLUS (1-855-879-7587).

How do I access my Tax Refund with the Diamond Plus Visa Prepaid Card?

Accessing your refund on your Diamond Plus Visa Prepaid card is fast, convenient, and secure. Your tax refund will be added on to your card account as soon as we receive it from the IRS or state tax authority. You can also choose to load funds onto you card and start using it even before you receive your tax refund on your card. You can access your funds by -
• Using the card to buy goods and services anywhere Visa debit cards are accepted.
• Withdraw cash at a nearby ATM using your card and PIN

How do I add more money to my Diamond Plus Visa Prepaid Card?

First, as soon as we receive the funds from the IRS or state tax authority, we will add the money to your card. We will send you an email when the funds are added to your card account if you have provided your email to your tax professional during your tax preparation.

You can also choose to load funds onto you card and start using it even before you receive your tax refund amount on your card. You can add money to the card yourself in two ways:
• Load cash to your card at thousands of Visa ReadyLink locations, or
• Add money to your card by direct depositing all or a portion of your paycheck or government check directly onto the card.
In order to use your Diamond Plus Visa Prepaid Card on an ongoing basis after you have used your tax refund, you must keep your card account funded.

Direct Deposit to your card

What is Direct Deposit?
You can get paid SOONER and MORE CONVENIENTLY with direct deposit.
• Get your money added directly to your card. No waiting. No lines.
• Great for your paycheck, government benefits payments (like Social Security).

All you need to do is fill out and submit the Direct Deposit Enrollment form (available in your card welcome packet or on your account at www.DiamondPlusCard.com) to your employer or government benefits provider. They do the rest for you.
If you no longer have your welcome kit, login to your account at www.DiamondPlusCard.com and print the Direct Deposit Enrollment form.

Direct Deposit allows you to have all or part of your paycheck or government benefits checks automatically deposited to your Diamond Plus Visa Prepaid Card.
It's a safe and convenient way to add money to your card.
Since your money is added directly to your card account; you get your money on time, even when you're sick, on vacation or if the check cashier is closed.

NOTE: When beginning Direct Deposit, it may take 1 to 2 pay cycles from the date your employer/benefits provider submits your Direct Deposit Enrollment form, for your pay check(s) to be directly deposited to your card account

Can I use Direct Deposit?
Yes.
Most employers and benefits providers offer Direct Deposit as an option to pay you. You decide if you want to add all or part of your check amount to your Diamond Plus Visa Prepaid Card account.
NOTE: You can use Direct Deposit to add checks from more than one employer/institution at the same time i.e., you can add both your paycheck and your Medicare check to your card account every month, and you can change your direct deposit options at anytime.

How do I sign up for Direct Deposit?

When you receive your card in the mail, simply complete the Direct Deposit form attached to your welcome letter and give it to your payroll department. Choose how much money you'd like to add to your Diamond Plus Visa Prepaid Card account – you can choose all of your pay (100%), a certain percentage of your pay, or a fixed dollar amount to be added each pay period. The choice is yours.

How much money can I add to my card through Direct Deposit?
Maximum balance on your card is $10,000.
You can add money to your card until your card has a maximum balance of $10,000.
This limit applies to all cardholders combined on an account.

When will my money be available to use With Direct Deposit?
You money will be available on your card on your regular pay-date or on the date of your benefits payment.

Can I use Direct Deposit for one-time deposits?
Yes
You can use Diamond Plus's Direct Deposit to add other one-time payments from companies and government benefit agencies that offer Direct Deposit.
Use the Routing Number and Direct Deposit Account Number (DDA) provided on your Direct Deposit form.
NOTE: Do not use your 16-digit card account number (located on the front of your card) in place of the Routing and DDA numbers.

What happens to my Direct Deposit if I change jobs?
Once your employer stops paying you or your government benefit ends, your Direct Deposit will automatically stop.
To restart Direct Deposit with another employer or government benefit agency, simply fill out a new Direct Deposit form (download the form from the website) and submit it to your new employer or benefit agency.
NOTE 1: You can use Direct Deposit to add checks from more than one employer/source at the same time i.e., you can add both your paycheck and your Medicare check to your card account.
NOTE 2: All the money you have already added to your card through Direct Deposit will remain in your account.

Can I stop my employer from making Direct Deposits to my account?

Yes.
You can contact your employer or government benefit agency at anytime to notify them you would like to stop your Direct Deposit.
NOTE: You can use Direct Deposit to add checks from more than one employer/institution at the same time i.e., you can add both your paycheck and your Medicare check to your account. And, you can change your direct deposit options at any time.

How can I confirm that cash was added to my card?
The choice is yours:
When you sign up for Diamond Plus Notifications, we'll send you transaction confirmations directly by SMS text**.
Login to your online account at www.DiamondPlusCard.com; check your transaction activity and balance.
Call 1-855-TRY-PLUS (1-855-879-7587) and select "Balance Inquiry" in the main menu.
NOTE: When adding cash to your card at retail locations, you should receive a receipt for each transaction. We recommend you save your receipts.

When will my cash be on my card for me to use?
It depends on how you add money:
When adding cash at a Visa ReadyLink location, your money will be available typically within 30-60 minutes.
For Direct Deposit, your money is normally available on the day it is received from your employer/check provider.
NOTE: When beginning Direct Deposit, it may take 1 to 2 pay cycles from the date your employer/check provider submits your Direct Deposit enrollment form, for your check(s) to be directly deposited to your card account. During that time, you will continue to receive checks as you normally do.

No.

Does my card or the card account expire?
Your card:
On the front of your card, is the expiration date for your card. You may use your card until that expiration date.
Your card account:
If you have a balance in your card account when your card expires, we will mail you a new card and your balance will be transferred automatically to your new card account.
If your card account has a zero balance at the time your card expires, the account will be closed and cannot be renewed or reloaded. You will need to enroll for a new card.
NOTE 1: The money in your card account never expires.
NOTE 2: We recommend you update your contact information including your mailing address, email address, home and mobile phone numbers, so we can mail your new card to you.

What is the Personal Identification Number (PIN)?
A PIN is a 4-digit personalized, secure code, which is used to get cash from ATMs and cashback at retail stores.
Use your personalized, secure 4-digit PIN code for ATM withdrawals.
Use your personalized, secure 4-digit PIN code to receive cash back from retail checkouts.
You will be assigned your PIN when you activate your card by calling Diamond Plus 24-hour automated phone service at 1-855-TRY-PLUS (1-855-879-7587), and you can change it to a number you can easily remember during the same call or any time later.
NOTE: Keep your PIN safe! We recommend you do not share your PIN with anyone and do not keep your PIN in your wallet or written on your card.

How do I use my card to withdraw cash at ATMs?
It's simple to withdraw cash from ATMs (Automated Teller Machine)
Use your personalized, secure 4-ditgit PIN code for ATM withdrawals
Use any ATM with the Visa®, PLUS®, or PULSE Acceptance Marks.
NOTE: All ATM transactions are treated as cash withdrawal transactions; therefore you will need to enter your personalized, secure 4-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) when prompted and select "Checking" to access your funds.

What happens when I return merchandise?
Should you return a purchase, Internet and retail merchants will credit your purchase to your Diamond Plus Visa Prepaid Card account, as they would for any other Visa Debit purchase.

Can I use my prepaid card to “Pay at the pump”?

Yes, but be aware that Pay at the Pump purchases have a $75 authorization hold on your card. You must have at least $75 available on your card to purchase gas at the pump, and gas station may place a hold on your account for approximately $75 for up to 4 days . To avoid the $75 authorization hold, we recommend you prepay for the gasoline inside of the gas station with debit transaction using your PIN.

Can I use my prepaid card for online purchases?
Absolutely!
You may shop online and everywhere Visa Debit cards are accepted - worldwide!
NOTE: Most websites will ask for your card's 3-digit security code; which is located on the back of your card, near the signature panel.

Can I use my prepaid card to rent a car?
Yes, but: Most rental car companies do not accept prepaid cards to "reserve" vehicles, although most typically accept them for final payment after the rental period and vehicle return.
Some rental car companies may offer an "open end" transaction; meaning your card account may be "authorized" (have money held) for more money than the planned/estimated cost of the total car rental bill.
NOTE: "Open-end" transactions cover additional or last minute charges i.e., refueling, car damage or extra days. The rental car company may place a hold on these funds for as long as 60 days. Your Diamond Plus Visa Prepaid Card can typically be used to pay for the rental car bill after the total amount of the rental car bill has been finalized

Can I use my prepaid card to book a hotel room?
Yes, but: Most hotels do not accept prepaid cards to "make a reservation", although most typically accept them for final payment upon checkout.
Some hotels may offer an "open end" transaction; meaning your card account may be "authorized" (have money held) for more money than the planned/estimated cost of the hotel bill .
NOTE: "Open end" transactions cover additional or last minute charges i.e., movie rental, mini-bar, extra nights. The hotel may place a hold on these funds for as long as 30 days.

Can I use my prepaid card to pay for a restaurant meal?
Yes, but: Most restaurants authorize (have money held) for more than the total of food and beverages in order to cover the tip. This can sometimes amount to 20% over the original check that is presented to you. This “open transaction” amount temporarily reduces the available balance on your prepaid card account until we receive the final amount from the restaurant. Only the original check plus the actual tip that you left is charged to your prepaid card .
NOTE: "Open end" transactions cover additional or last minute charges like the tip. The restaurant typically sends the actual final bill amount within 2 to 3 days.

What if I want to make a purchase which costs more than my card balance?
Because it's a prepaid card, you can only spend the money you put on your card; each time you make a purchase, that amount is deducted from your card account balance.
If you try to purchase an item of greater value than your available card balance, your card will be declined.
NOTE: Some merchants offer 'split tender' transactions; meaning you will need to provide the merchant with a second payment method i.e., cash, check, or a credit card, to cover the difference.
NOTE: When making your purchase, first tell the cashier how much money to deduct from your Diamond Plus Visa Prepaid Card and how much you will use from the second payment method. Please be advised that not all merchants offer "split tender" transactions.

If the merchant advises you that your card has been declined,

How do I dispute a transaction?
If you suspect an error, have questions about a transaction or wish to dispute a transaction that has been posted to your card account; please call us immediately at 1-855-TRY-PLUS (1-855-879-7587).
You will be required to provide the following information:
Your full name, physical mailing address, home and/or cell phone number and email address
Your Diamond Plus Visa Prepaid Card 16-digit card number, located on the front of your card
A description of the error or the transaction you are questioning. Explain as clearly as you can why you believe it is an error or why you need more information

How do I close my Diamond Plus Visa Prepaid Card account?
We're sorry to hear you may close your account, but if you need to, there are several ways to do so:
The first thing to do is check your current balance, then:
You may spend all the money in your card account through purchases at stores, online or by phone
You may withdraw all funds from your account at an ATM or a Visa Member Bank teller (fees apply)
